The Project

Located in San Diego County, Casa de Amparo's mission is to support those affected by and at risk of child abuse and neglect, through a range of programs and services that promote healing, growth, and healthy relationships. Partnering with the greater San Diego community, Casa de Amparo ensures that children and their families receive unique and innovative services for healing, for stopping child mistreatment of any kind, and for ending generational cycles of abuse. The result is a community where child abuse and neglect are not tolerated, and where child abuse awareness and prevention are priorities.

Casa de Amparo was looking for ways to reduce operating expenses and wanted to install solar. By partnering with the SunForAll Program, which included a grant from BQuest Foundation, Casa de Amparo was able to install 162 kW on several new carports and save money on their utility bills from Day 1.

What They Are Saying

"Casa de Amparo is honored to receive funding from BQuest Foundation for our solar project. By reducing the organization’s monthly utilities expenses, we are able to put more dollars toward our programs, and ultimately help foster children heal from child abuse and neglect."

- Kathy Karpe, Director of Development, Casa de Amparo
