The Project
Land’s Sake Farm is a thriving community dedicated to building meaningful connections between people, the food they eat, and the land. Through hands-on educational programs, a farmstand offering the freshest seasonal produce, and community events, Land’s Sake engages people in preserving open space and building sustainable connections with nature.
BQuest proudly supports Hammond Climate Solution's Solar Moonshot Program with individual grants that help nonprofit organizations across the United States afford the switch to clean energy. With the help of BQuest's grant through the Solar Moonshot Program, Land's Sake Farm has installed a 36 kW solar installation that signifies a new chapter in their journey toward sustainability and community service.
This solar installation is an integral part of their new farmstand building, designed as a net-zero facility powered entirely by solar energy. The project represents the farm's commitment to showing the community how sustainable practices can be implemented in everyday life. By using clean energy, Land's Sake Farm aims to reduce its carbon footprint while continuing its essential work of connecting people to the land.
What They Are Saying
"Thanks to the Solar Moonshot Program we were able to close the funding gap and move forward with installing these solar panels on the new farmstand, completing our net zero goals for the farm."
