The Project
New Hampshire Solar Shares Plymouth Area Renewable Energy Initiative encourages and promotes energy conservation, energy efficiency, and the use of renewable energy in the Plymouth region by building solar projects, and offering programs and resources that encompass energy equity, energy education, community building, professional solar energy services, and local food sourcing. New Hampshire Solar Shares strives to be a role model for the state and country by openly sharing their program models and lessons learned with others hoping to replicate their programs. This New Hampshire Solar Shares program builds solar arrays using charitable funds that turn into solar credits for low-income families each year. The families who benefit from the solar credits are able to use the funding they saved on energy costs for expenses like food and monthly bills.
BQuest proudly supports Hammond Climate Solution's Solar Moonshot Program with individual grants that help nonprofit organizations across the United States afford the switch to clean energy. With the help of BQuest's grant through the Solar Moonshot Program and other grant funding, New Hampshire Solar Shares has installed a 34.92 kW solar array that will bring more opportunities for sustainable and renewable energy to the Plymouth region.
What They Are Saying
“We are excited about completing our third NH Solar Shares installation. This project gives 100% of the solar generation back to local families in need of assistance with paying their electric bills. We are very appreciative of the Solar Moonshot Program's support for this important energy equity program. Your grant is a big boost to our grassroots effort. Thank you!!”
