PROGRAM SOLAR MOONSHOT

YEAR 2022

FUNDING GRANT

The Project

Solar United Neighbors (SUN) is a community of people building a new energy system with rooftop solar as the cornerstone. SUN helps people go solar, join together, and fight for their energy rights. This Solar Moonshot grant allowed SUN to help two low income  City of Lakes Community Land Trust homeowners in Minneapolis go solar.

What They Are Saying

"Solar United Neighbors is excited to work with Solar Moonshot to help two low income homeowners go solar. Projects like this model how rooftop solar can produce renewable energy while addressing issues of income inequality. These solar arrays will lower their energy burden while producing renewable solar power for their home and the grid."

- Bobby King, Solar United Neighbors Minnesota State Director
