The Project

St. Simon of Cyrene Episcopal Church's mission is to develop active community outreach ministries and prepare people of all ages for healthy, physical and spiritual daily living. St. Simon of Cyrene Episcopal Church plans to use their solar savings from this Solar Moonshot grant to increase their outreach budget slated for their reading program serving neighborhood youth and their community garden and food pantry which provide fresh and purchased food for residents of the community who need food assistance.

What They Are Saying

"St. Simon of Cyrene Episcopal Church is thrilled at the opportunity you have given us to go solar. We are looking forward to reducing our operating costs so that we can expand our outreach ministries, and one of those ministries is showing our community that concern for the environment is important."

- Ken Wright, Lay Member, St. Simon of Cyrene Episcopal Church
