PROGRAM CALeVIP

YEAR 2023

The Project

BQuest provided bridge loans combined with grants to San Diego-area nonprofit Vista Community Clinic (VCC) to install EV charging stations at their clinic located in Vista, CA. Bridge loans helped speed installation of the new chargers that were awarded rebates through the CALeVIP Program, and grant funding covered gap costs beyond the rebate. This VCC location was previously awarded financing for a solar installation in 2020 as the pilot project for the SunForAll Solar Fund, a partnership between BQuest Foundation and CollectiveSun that seeks to help more nonprofit organizations benefit from solar energy. VCC's Vista location is not able to take a further step towards sustainability by offering electric vehicle charging paired with solar to their staff and patients.

Vista Community Clinic has been meeting the health and wellness needs of Southern California for 50 years by providing healthcare for communities where there are few or no options for care or where systemic barriers to care have been created.

What They Are Saying

"VCC is grateful for the opportunity to become more environmentally friendly with the help of BQuest Foundation. The EV charging station installation in the parking garage of our Vale Terrace Clinic was completed with funding by BQuest and CALeVIP. Vehicle emissions cause air pollution, and air quality is closely tied to breathing problems and other illness. VCC has a mission of meeting the health and wellness needs of our community, so we are thrilled to collaborate with BQuest in pursuit of creating a healthier environment by going green.”
