FUNDING GRANT & LOAN
The Project
Vista Community Clinic (VCC) was the pilot project for the SunForAll Solar Fund, a partnership between BQuest Foundation and CollectiveSun that seeks to help more nonprofit organizations benefit from solar energy. VCC had previously explored installing solar, but been unable to proceed because of barriers to solar financing for nonprofits. SunForAll was able to provide the generous financing and grant that they needed in order to make the installation a reality while ensuring that the clinic was able to save money on their utility bills from day one.
Vista Community Clinic has been meeting the health and wellness needs of Southern California for 50 years by providing healthcare for communities where there are few or no options for care or where systemic barriers to care have been created. The solar savings for Vista Community Clinic are projected to be $2.5 million over the lifetime of the installation, which can instead be spent on their mission of providing healthcare for underserved communities.
What They Are Saying
"Placing solar energy on our Vista facility will reduce our annual energy costs by $105,539, rolling precious dollars back into our program services. This project not only helps us achieve cost savings, but it means we are concretely contributing to community health and global health by reducing our GHG emissions. The cost savings are great, but doing the right thing is great, too.”
- Michele Lambert, Vista Community Clinic CFO
